No sign of any migrants yet

Heysham Obs
Nothing obvious migrant-wise, despite a south-easterly with increasing cloud cover

Middleton NR

8 coot
4 moorhen
1 2CY male scaup
19 tufted duck
4 gadwall
3 pochard (all male)
7 mallard
16 teal
2 little grebe
4 lapwing (boat pond peninsula)
1 pheasant (f)
2 reed bunting
1 grey wagtail (female - no rings)
Ocean Edge
2 snipe

No finches north harbour wall

Eider - c65 but visibility/sea conditions poor
Kittiwake - 4 in harbour
Guillemot - 2 in harbour

Moths & butterflies
Two Small Tortoiseshell by office late afternoon
Single Early Grey and Common Quaker contrasting with 125 of 18 species at the riparian woodland site at Millhouses (inc 31 Oak Beauty, 6 Small Brindled Beauty, Shoulder Stripe)
