YBW - day 4

Moderate west winds, mainly dry after a wet start

Heysham Nature Reserve 
Yellow-Browed Warbler calling from the dipping pond area - thanks to Pete Last

Mediterranean gull 3 (1 adult, 1 x 1cy, 1 x 2cy)

Great Crested Grebe 1

Red-Breasted Merganser 7 (one group)

Middleton Nature Reserve - mid afternoon 
Mute 3 adult 4 cygnet

Moorhen 8
Little Grebe - none seen on the main ponds, but 1 partial summer plumage on Tim Butler pond.

The only warblers heard were the "no swimming" and fence ponds Cetti's warblers singing.

Insects:
The only butterflies seen were Speckled Wood.
