Acrobatic passerines

A dry and largely sunny day although there were the odd mist patches over the sea. A very light variable breeze.

North shore (Malcolm)
I went down at first light to watch the rising tide flush the waders off the skear.
Pink-Footed goose 800+ north in four large and several smaller skeins.

It started off bright, then the sun was lost for a while behind a bank of mist

Pale-bellied Brent geese 36 came in to the SE skear corner.

There is still no sign of any ringed Brent on this side of the bay so far this winter.

Knot 1,600 - several coded but only one or two new ones for this winter.

Just out of the recording area, slightly further out than yesterday.
Stonechat 1 female type. Today towards the northern end of the Sunnyslopes.
