Robin

Sandwich Tern on No.8 buoy
There were none on the buoys this morning

I returned to Red Nab at high water - 15:45 (Malcolm)
There were no Wheatears to begin with then 11 moved through in 5 minutes. So the minimum seen today by all observers is 39, and you have to imagine that many more passed through.

Pale-bellied Brent goose 4 - something lifted everything, a ground based predator most likely as there was nothing visible overhead and yet the birds were reluctant to return.

Pale-bellied Brent geese and Oystercatcher

A Whimbrel was the first bird to "return" to Red Nab, it probably
wasn't there when whatever it was lifted everything

The Red Nab Rock Pipit was displaying again

There were 3 Common Whitethroat in the scrub behind Red Nab and 2 Lesser Whitethroat singing in the Nature Park

Swallow 3 north

Janet also had a quick look at Middleton Nature Reserve and saw several Common Whitethroat.

This clip is within the recording area a house close to Heysham Moss. Thanks to Rob Underdown who took this clip and Janet who passed it on. Rob was wondering what was stealing his Koi carp. Turned out to be an Otter! The clip is a bit fractured as I had to edit it to be short enough to upload.
