Still some decent stuff moving

A dry day with sunny periods. A light SE wind.

It was pretty quiet compared to yesterday. The wind direction was too southerly for birds to end up going into the Bay.

Still, 21 species seen

South shore
I checked 08:00 - 09:00 (Malcolm)
Pale-bellied Brent goose 2 were feeding out from Red Nab long before the tide arrived 
Wheatear 2
Pied Wagtail 1 (no White wagtails seen)
Linnet 8 around Ocean Edge 4 near the lighthouse 
Female Linnet with nesting material just behind Red Nab

Common Whitethroat 1 singing and very animated bird also just behind Red Nab.

Rock Pipit 2 on Red Nab plus 2 at the end of the sea wall.

The dredger was operating near the outfall intake in the harbour. There were loads of large gulls feeding on No.1 outfall (No.2 outfall is currently at half capacity).

There was a trickle of Sandwich Terns in. Plus several on the buoys on both sides.

The tide had reached Red Nab on my return. The Brent were still there
