Jack Snipe continue to be flushed by spring tides

After a wet start, mainly a dry day with freshening SE wind.

This is Craig's excellent picture of yesterday's Siberian Chiffchaff on Heysham Nature Reserve.
The bird was also confirmed by its distinctive call.
No sign of it today, a male Reed Bunting was the top bird!


Middleton Nature Reserve 
Mute - the aggressive male has returned to the "no swimming" pond. No sign of the other adult and cygnet. The female with 3 cygnets are still on the main pond.
