There was a ground frost overnight, leaving a thin scrim of ice on open water. Variable northerly breeze. The sun shone all day.
Heysham skeer - low water 10:00
Everything pretty much the same as yesterday, including the marauding Peregrines. The only addition were 7 Bar-Tailed Godwit.

Little Grebe 3 (all amicable on the "no swimming" pond)
The Shoveller and Teal looking splendid in the sunshine.

I routinely have Goldfinch on my garden feeders, as I am sure many of you do. But it is more satisfying to see them feeding naturally on teasel seeds.
