A sprinkling of waders

 As yesterday the NE breezed switched to NW mid morning. The sunshine continues

I watched the tide cover the skear again.
Greylag goose 2 SE
No grebes or Eider seen
Red-breasted Merganser pair
Little Egret 6
Grey Heron 1
Cormorant a couple fishing and a flock of 5 south.

There wasn't a lot of waders, but a reasonable variety for this time of year
Oystercatcher <100
Curlew 2
Whimbrel 1
Turnstone 1
Dunlin 2
Sanderling 1 - same area and similar plumage to yesterday's bird.

Ebbing tide mid-afternoon 
Another quick check, as the skear was being exposed, located 13 further Sanderling, a flock of 10 flew in from the south, quickly settled and fell asleep. And were still where they landed when I left
Eight of the ten sleeping Sanderlings, presumably they had flown some distance 
Another three were feeding together. These are two of them.

Meanwhile, Kevin Eaves caught some nice photogenic nocturnal moths in his trap.
