Hornet and Bee, but neither what they seem to be, or not to be

Overcast with the odd light shower. A fresh SW wind

This report by Jeff  Gorse from yesterday afternoon:

Imperial Rd (Malcolm) 10:45
Stonechat 1 male. He wasn't seen with any food today, but he seemed agitated and was constantly calling.

He was around a clump of brambles near the Elder bush.
There did seem to be some answer to his calling

Two male Greenfinch

South shore (Malcolm) 11:00 - 12:00
Mediterranean gull 1 adult
Bizarrely, there were no gulls on No.1 outfall, they were all on No. 2 outfall.
The opposite to yesterday, I checked the intakes in the harbour and could see
no reason why there would be more food along one than the other.

Mainly small gulls on this side. The Med is in the middle

This was the large gull side. The fourth from the bottom has a green ring

Herring gull N:05M ringed as a chick at Bowland July 2022
